Ignite Vice One v1.0 VST WIN MAC CM Edition
Vice One is a virtual analog style compressor, inspired by old hardware tube compressors. It is not modelled on any particular analog compressor, but rather it is our own unique design.
We wanted to have the look and sound of an old analog compressor without restricting ourselves to recreating a particular model or brand. Being virtual analog means you can expect ‘colouration’ and added ‘warmth’ to your sound, hence Vice One is particularly well suited for use on drums, vocals and bass. Vice One works equally well on the master channel as a limiter/maximizer.

Input Gain
Increase the signal level before the compression.

Analog/digital modes
Analog mode changes the response of the attack/release and soft knee mimicking a tube compressor. Analog mode also adds extra colouration to the sound that is dependant on the input gain. Digital mode has a faster response and less colouration.

Soft/Hard knee modes
A soft knee begins to compress the signal gradually around the threshold, while a hard knee will compress as soon as the signal reaches the threshold.

Threshold
Level at which the compression will start.

Ratio
The amount of attenuation to be applied from the threshold.

Attack
Attack is the time it takes the signal to become fully compressed.

Release
Release is the time it takes to go back to a non-compressed signal.

VU Meters
Input/Output meter gives the level in decibels for the input(non-compressed) and output (compressed) signals. The Gain reduction meter shows how much the signal is being reduced by.

Look Ahead
This delays the input signal. This gives the compressor more time to react, ensuring no peaks go above the threshold. Useful for limiting.

Saturation
Adds more ‘colour’ to the signal.

Makeup Gain
Boost the output level after the compression.

Bypass
Useful to quickly check what difference the compression is making to the original signal.

HoRNet Multicomp Plus is a very high quality and versatile plugin compressor. It’s built on the foundation of the original Multicomp and features three compressor models (VCA, OPTO and FET) and an expander (based on the VCA model).

Multicomp Plus is perfect for every mixing need providing three compression colors, from the dry VCA to the very fat FET model, if you need analog warmth Multicomp Plus provides a different emulation for every model.

You don’t have to worry about gain staging thanks to the internal makeup gain algorithm and the auto input and output gain adjustment.

If you don’t like the hiss that comes with analog you can turn it off, and with the "Analog” knob you can dial the right amount of saturation.

Each model can be fed with an external side-chain, and the side-chain has two filters, a high pass and a low pass, both filters are full range, working from 20 to 20000Hz.

HoRNet Multicomp Plus features the standard attack, release, ratio and threshold controls, but brings compression to a new level providing a waveform display with both input and output signal so that is easy to monitor the processing that is taking place. Like every other HoRNet dynamics processor Multicomp Plus has a "RealGR” gain reduction meter. The meter moves at the speed of audio so you can "see” how fast the gain reduction is being applied, but the meter also has a peak hold function so that the maximum reduction applied in the last 2 seconds is always in front of you. High quality processing is guaranteed by 2 or 4 times oversampling that drastically reduces the amount of aliasing distortion generated by the compression algorithm.

A handy dry / wet knob allows you to create parallel compression with ease, the level of the wet signal is kept at the right spot by the adaptive make up gain algorithm.

As its name suggests, Vari Comp is a compressor with a flexible range of use cases, from instrument groups to individual tracks. Emulated to possess a clear and warm 'analog' sound, Vari Comp limits and compresses. In limit mode, it uses a unique automatic ratio and knee adjustment, altering the compression ratio from 4:1 up to 20:1 automatically in response to the input signal.

Faithful and unique emulation of an old German broadcast compressor/limiter unit U73b.

The device was often used for mastering between 1960 and 1980. It is an all tube vary-mu compressor/limiter with adjustable release time option. We kept the circuit exactly as it was originally designed and only added input and output gain (before and right after compressor circuit) to help with proper adjustment of the compression. The plugin effect has been also supplemented with a VU meter and selectable side-chaining.

U73b is great for mastering, mixing drums, bass, guitar, vocals and voice overs.

The compressor`s controls are very easy, but the effect of this unique device is audible at the same moment you turn it on:

Compressor/Limiter switch – is the upper U73b knob and it switches between Compressor mode (Kompr), Bypass (Durchschalt) and Limiter mode (Begr). The compressor mode has lower threshold setting and very gentle increasing ratio, in opposite, the limiter mode provides higher threshold setting with higher ratio but still with smooth knee.
