Particular Euro Munchies Tasty Transients WAV REX
Particular proudly presents Euro Munchies - Tasty Transients. In this second instalment in the series it’s all about transient and attack rich analogue Eurorack loops. The weirder the better is the decree so slap these onto something in need of something really out of the ordinary - be it four to the floor, downtempo, urban or cinematic.

Design spec here is the exploration of rhythmic and timing possibilities in analogue traditional and Cartesian sequencers and rotating clock dividers in a Eurorack modular system. We did this by feeding clock signals from a DAW and process the resulting sequences in the digital domain – all to retain the magic and weirdness coming from the analogue circuits in sync and under control. Instead of focusing on any specific genre or style of sound the goal here has been to squeeze out the most outlandish sequences possible using high quality analogue oscillators combined with digital wavetable ones, frequency modulation, low pass gates, filters, distortion and frequency shifter among others.

The modular system consists of selected modules from about 20 different brands: Makenoise, 4ms, Cwejman, Doepfer, TipTop audio, Plan B, Intellijel and a Roland system 100 Model 101. Digital realtime processing made mainly through Soundtoys and Fabfilter suites.

In detail expect to find 115 wav and 115 rex loops in 110, 120 and 130 bpm, all in all summing up to 100 MB wav and 61 MB in Propellerheads native compressed rex format. All in 48 kHz 24 bit.

Demos created with drums and bass from personal library. All other sounds are from Euro Munchies - Tasty Transients.

115 Wav Eurorack Sequence Loops in 90, 100, 110 and 130 bpm

Bring the Chaos and Anarchy of the Modular World to Your DAW
A little over ten years ago, Doepfer, with the help of Kraftwerk, released several small synth components in the newly designed Eurorack format. Beginning with simple analog modules, the company paved the way for others to create their own designs, which naturally began to stray (in the best of ways) from the traditional modules. Today, the format is more popular than ever, with hundreds of Eurorack modules, ranging from simple VCOs to advanced DSP effects units.

Particular presents Severed Bits – Filth Waivers. Gritty textures created through parallel sweetspotting and modulation of transistors, vacuum tubes and digital manglers. Use these backdrops to add some sensory jangling to anything cinematic, urban or downtempo - and it of course fit perfectly with anything 4 to 4 too.

Created by feeding synthesizer and real world recorded textures through a parallel setup of transistor, valve and digital warping units modulating in offset, and blending them together through a pitch sensitive mixing process, creating quite a unique signature of beautifully and filthy texture loops.

Gear used: Origin modular systems, Virus TI2, Genoqs Nemo sequencer, Thermionic Culture Culture Vulture, Rodec Restyler, SSL X-Rack system, SSL G series compressor, Tonelux OTB16, API 2500, Elysia Xpressor, Kush Clariphonic, and a whole armada of exotic VST effect plugins.
Loopmasters Stranger Synths WAV REX Loopmasters Stranger Synths WAV REX
Loopmasters present Stranger Synths – an ambient collection of evolving synth atmospheres from a Grammy Award winning engineer and producer. Featuring heavy analogue synths, lush pads and evolving FX, Stranger Synths is 100% royalty free and is the perfect soundtrack to a strange world in a parallel dimension.

Stranger Synths is the brainchild of Dom Morley, who has worked with a wide variety of artists from Amy Winehouse and Richard Ashcroft to Underworld and Lemonjelly. His obsession with modular synths has meant a whole wall in his studio is now dedicated to his ever-growing collection at his Flint Barn Studio – where Stranger Synths was created.

This collection was inspired by the sounds and moods of the Netflix series `Stranger Things’ and features the sounds of the Mos-Lab, MacBeth, Wiard, Modcan, MOTM and a huge variety of Eurorack modules, recorded through vintage Telefunken mic-pres and treated with an assortment of pedals and outboard compressors and EQs.

Stranger Synths comes as 35 Construction Kits, featuring Arpeggios, Basses, Sequences, Pads, Synths and FX Loops, with 174 separate Loops at tempos between 80 and 110BPM. You’ll be able to mix the cream of the Doms modular labyrinth from the comfort of your own studio, with sounds reminiscent of John Carpenter, Vangelis and the rising Synthwave generation

Stranger Synths has the full frequency range covered, with Sweeps, Bells, Leads, Brass, Chimes and Sequences all primed for a Synthetic future. At 80, 90, 100 and 110 BPM in a range of musical keys, you’ll find the right mix of content for Ambient, Chillout, Soundtracks, Hiphop, Synthwave and Downtempo Genres

Our Eurorack system is the culmination of collecting and piecing together these modules for the past ten years, and is a pretty good representation of where the modular world is at today. It's filled with unique sequencers, wonky FX, and almost infinite modulation possibilities. On any given day you never know exactly what you're going to get out of it, but you can be sure of one thing: whatever it is, it'll be a unique modular creation that is impossible to achieve with any other type of gear.

The Recording Process / Capturing the Loops

Recording a modular system for people to use in their DAWs is a challenge, because the beauty of modular synthesis is not only found in the sounds, but in the continuously modulating characteristics of each patch. Whether this is the shifting of a sequencer's timing, or modulating an effect's internal digital processor with a slight CV signal (a modular trick that would actually blow up a modern computer's processor), the beauty is all in the movement. Because of this, we thought the most authentic representation of our modular would be to record batches of long loops and drones (at 120 bpm), and edit them down, isolating each at their most useable moment in time.

This approach allowed us to capture the weird, little (and sometimes big) nuances that modulars produce. In one instance, we used the filter cutoff as a modulation source, and applied that signal simultaneously to the room size of a reverb and the pitch of a frequency shifter. Creating these types of interactions, you soon start to hear how cool the results of unlikely parameters sharing the same modulation signals are...kind of like how two people that have been at odds with each other can become best buds (think Bob Moog and Don Buchla...RIP)!

Come join our modular world where exotic analog and wavetable oscillators pair with vintage filter circuits, digital noise with woody timbral gates, random voltage sources with snappy envelope generators. The patch cord is the link. The results are tonally rich drums and insane loops you won't find anywhere but here. Using a lovely Eurorack system we have designed tons of sequences for you to loop and chop with some distinctly modular drum sounds for you to program and layer into your compositions.
