Kush Audio Clariphonic DSP mkI v1.1.1 MacOSX
After 3 years of using the original Clariphonic DSP, I'd compiled quite a list of improvements I wanted to make. So I made them all, and the result is the Clariphonic DSP mkII, modeled from the ground up by me using all new algorithms and filters.

To my ears, the mkII sounds markedly smoother than the original, and it's considerably more powerful in use. It has 3 modes: classic Stereo, Dual Mono so I can eq each side differently, or Mid-Side for advanced sweetening.

I overhauled the GUI as well, it's a little easier on the eye and a lot easier to use. Between the smoother sound, the 3 operational modes, and the enhanced interface, I'm more proud of this design than any I've done to date, and that's coming from the guy who recently dropped the Tweaker.

Everyone who bought a new license for the original Clariphonic DSP gets full credit towards the upgrade... even if you bought it 3 years ago, on sale. Go to the Store for instructions. Enjoy!

Life is a delay, with vibrato and tremolo sections, which can also operate in mid-side mode. With options for creating subtle movement and shimmer to bouncy 'phasey' delays.
Sometimes when we're mixing or writing music, we are looking for something to give a track a little lift, other times we need to take a sample and give it a bit of sweetening, to make it fit properly with the rest of the mix. This is where Life stems from, being able to add a little bit of magic and movement to a track makes it come alive that little bit more.

It moves, it growls, it brings sounds to life.
I did a master class with Michael Brauer, easily one of the most creative mixers ever to lay hands on a console. He told me he wanted me to stop thinking of compression as dynamics control and start thinking of it as a form of movement.

UBK-1 is most definitely the result of taking that advice. I have way too much fun with its squishy mojo, the way it aggressively smacks sounds back into place, making them pump and move like living things.

Not every sound needs to be blown up, so I use the multiple parallel paths for subtle warming and sweetening effects. The headroom knob lets me adjust every stage's intensity at once, making it enjoyable to experiment with all the colors it has to offer... and the UBK-1 has a lot of colors to offer.

The Wall is is a brick wall limiter designed with one thing in mind: Make your mixes loud without screwing up your mix. No matter what side of the loudness wars you’ve decided to plant yourself on, the need to make mixes loud for clients isn’t going away any time soon. Sending your clients home with a mix that is just as loud as the professional mixes they are used to hearing is an important part of any mixing engineer’s job.

But nothing drives me more insane than listening to all my hard work turn to garbage when pushing the mix loud. That’s why we made this plugin. We wanted a mastering limiter that lets you push your mixes loud and still keep the punch in your drums and keep your tonality intact.

There are many Limiters out there, and one of the things that we learned while making this is that a good limiting algorithm is complicated. There are tons of steps involved in transparently limiting music and most of the parameters are completely non-intuitive. When I’m mastering my music, I don’t want to think about release and attack times, lookahead times, window shapes, multiband crossover frequencies, etc. but I want to dial in the limiter to match the music I’m sending it.

So we took over 30 parameters and combined them into a very simple and intuitive "Flavor” control. It really couldn’t be easier to use. You set your level, then adjust the flavor until it sounds good with your song. And if that’s not enough, The Wall comes with 2 completely different limiting algorithms that you can switch through very quickly. It’s just so easy to use.

Features

Dual Limiting Modes
Huge variety of styles with simple interface
Sanity Check normalizes your level so you can compare your original sound with the compressed sound without introducing a level change.
Up to 8x oversampling to prevent intersample peaks.
Dithering, because… Why not?
